This is a model of the first american satellite in space the Explorer 1.
It was launched February 1, 1958, 03:48 UTC and it discovered the Van Allen radiation belt by which wasnt planned and a big discovery.
This model is in 1:5 scale an is about 40cm tall. Slice it up in pieces you like to print it. There is a tube in the inside of the model so you could use the pin i included in the files to align the parts for gluing. For the antennas you could use 1mm steelwire.
