Here's a cover to put over a Decora style light switch. It bolts on using the switch plate screws.

I had a 3 way switch circuit and it has irritating that the upstair and downs stairs switches were always out of sync so I just wanted to disable the upstairs switch, thus this cover.

The screws are typically 6-32. You will need longer screws to reach through this cover and into the threads. I think I used some 3/8" length screws I had around.
