I use a 4mm PTFE tube (like this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ID7E5VM/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&psc=1&linkCode=sl1&tag=ramrachum-20&linkId=a5bf831f1cce810cfc61b1aa65b7972c ) to guide my filament into the printer. I use this tube so I could store my filament spool in a humidity-proof container.
I used to have a problem where the PTFE tube would come at a sharp angle to the extruder, and sometimes the filament would break near the extruder because of that.
