Adjustable Locking Joint

This is an adjustable locking joint designed to work with PVC tubing and hardware for the purpose of creating an adjustable-height laptop stand.

Each joint requires the following hardware:
1/4" Carriage bolt 2 1/2" long
1/4" Wing nut for the carriage bolt
5/16" Diameter Compression Spring approximately 2" long

For the stand, 1/2" PVC tubing was used. Patterned duct tape was added to the pvc tubing for aesthetics. The "table" surface for the laptop was woven from paracord.
