- A fairly extensive hack-job.
This kind of fan does not blow evenly, rather they tend to blow in the direction of blade rotation, so mounting this fan horizontally not only makes it likely something will fall into the inlet, but it also means one side of the cowling will be getting almost all of the air. Mounting them vertically negates both of these completely.
- Does not require supports in this supplied orientation.
