I had troubles with the inner ball, so I redesigned it in SolidWorks , based on the design mentioned above.
The inner ball is 11 mm and hollow.
G code file is cura for 9 pcs
But I have not that much experience with cura, so settings could probably be better.

I printed them out in PLA as well as in ABS and released the ball with a little screwdriver. Actually I printed 80 pcs.. of them and all came out well.
