Peristaltic Pumps have become a very important and necessary part of doing research. However, the cost of buying one of these devices are very expensive. The commercial units often use a single motor, which lacks the flexibility to pump multiple independent fluid conduits at different speeds and time intervals simultaneously in an automated, user-programmed manner.
