I made these parts to attach my 20' Shakespeare fishing pole to a $20
HomeDepot tripod (Husky #K9028). I removed the inner pole (through the
bottom) and broke off the threaded plastic bits at the top of the outer pole.
The tripod base has a hold that can be threaded for a 10-24 screw to hold it
rigid at the base of the tripod. The tripod top slips over the top of the tripod
pole. I made the internal and external fit snug on this part to help make the
whole thing more rigid.
