This is a flower pot, mostly designed for succulents as they have a shallow root system, built in two pieces, with an extruded inset so they can attach to each other. The geometry is a simple octagon extruded into 3-dimensional form at a 2:1 ratio, essentially a cube, with the top and bottom vertices removed, leaving a harmonic balance between the horizontal and vertical. The top and bottom are precisely half the diameter of the middle.
