Cherry Switch Extender for Filament Runout

I used to do a lot of Mame work, and as such, I have a lot of buttons, joysticks, etc. left over from those projects. They all use cherry switches to determine direction of the joysticks, or the button presses.

Since I have a bunch of these, I didn't want to go buy additional momentary contatct switches to make a filament runout sensor, but the plastic piece that presses the contact is WAY too short to effectively use with filament.

This is a longer plastic piece that can interface with f
