This is a solar radiation shield for a sensor network node, similar to a Gill shield. The stackup uses 8-32 threaded rod, and the bottom fits an optional 3/4" PVC pipe for wiring or mounting. One of the middle plates has a mounting tab on the inside for hardware. There is an optional inner shield for improved weather and insect resistance but significantly reduced airflow.
