Cage light base

This industrial style lamp is made with a 3d printed top, a standard light socket with no switch and no threaded nut on the outside and can be picked up at a local hardware store.
The cage is laser cut from 3mm Baltic birch and glued together. The pulley is a clothesline pulley and I used braided covered cord that I found at IKEA in the lighting department. I painted all the parts with Rust-oleum metallic Oil rubbed bronze.
