These part cooling fan ducts have been modified to use bolts to secure the part cooling fans instead of the peg and friction fit of the previous versions.
The placement of the bolt mounting hole has been positioned and toleranced to accept the fans with ball bearings (slightly taller) and sleeve bearings (slightly shorter) as well as either style with the brass insert (found on RB2's). For the RB3 and RBB3 printers (RB1's as well) a 22mm M3 bolt and a 3mm nut are required to secure the fan
