A lathe popular with model engineers in the 1970s was the Austrian built Emcomat 7; there are still many of these around as they were very well built. One major flaw with them though was that the buttons on the switches would fall off or break and many surviving Emcomat lathes are missing their buttons. The buttons shown here are fitted with grub screws so that they don't jump off as the original parts did.
