I really like the original design by Simomura, but found that I couldn't see the top lights of the Google Home Mini when interacting with it. My Home Mini sits by the TV and the angle of the R2D2 pointed the lights away from my viewing perspective.

Using TinkerCad, I was able to hack together a modified design that has R2D2 standing up vertically. I also changed the cup that the Home Mini sits in so that it angles slightly forward (rear is higher than the front) making it easier to see from
