Alien organism

An interesting surface I generated mathematically (blob17_2.m) by applying a series of transforms to a simple shape. I printed it in flexible filament (TPE).

I used the slicer (Slic3r) to take off the bottom millimeter or two of the shape so that it would print better. I think that it would have benefited from dryer filament, too.

This is a step closer to some sort of mathematical flower shape.
