Trying out a few tree climbing devices, can be used for Tree stands, Tree houses, ect...
Bolts to tree, 3/8" bolts one long is main strength beam for the step 3/8" x 6" min, second is shorter and is mainly a safety and anti rotation element. 3/8" x 2" min. **Note bolts shown are not correct style just free down loads I grabbed to show concept! Threaded self tapping bolts required!!!! Washers are a good Idea to distribute stresses from end of the bolts, will handle up to 1" outside Diameter
