Hockey Stick PVC End

This is my first design, so bear with me. My 2 year old son loves hockey, but hasn't gotten a hockey stick yet. So I wanted to design a hockey stick endcap for a PVC pipe. I picked 10ft of PVC at my local hardware shop in the scraps section for less than a dollar.

This currently works with a 1" PVC pipe with an inside diameter of 21.5mm. I mounted it with two wood screws I had laying around my shop.
