No-Sew 3d Printed Graphic Hat

I wanted to make a hat with 3d printed letters for my son because I've seen it done before and I thought it looks really cool. I tried to come with a method that didn't involve sewing. It could definitely use improvement or suggestions but I thought I'd share the start of how I think it could work.

Basically you take your letters or graphics you want and add .25” diameter pegs. Then poke holes in the hat for the pegs to fit and melt the plastic end of the peg flat.
