Volumes of Cylinders Project

Objective:

~design concept 1 = students create a cylinder with a similar volume as a prefabricated shape as the project outcome

~design concept 2 = students work in pairs to create two similar shaped cylinders with volumes that are the same as the project outcome

Using the powerpoint review (provided) the teacher can engage students in a whole class discussion of the formula to calculate the volume of a cylinder and then share the objective of the project. There is a youtube video in th
