I recently acquired a copy of Twilight Imperium, 4th Edition, and I noticed that every single race comes with its own set of control markers and command markers. This seems like a superfluous amount of components, and could make the game more confusing. I quickly mocked up some replacement tokens, which can be printed in the six different ship colors, or printed and painted to match the ships.

Just print 16 of the command markers, 17 of the control markers, and 1 of the home system markers
