This year, we're commemorating the heroic abolitionist [John Brown](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Brown_(abolitionist)) by re-creating the pikes he had made for his [raid on Harper's Ferry](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Brown%27s_raid_on_Harpers_Ferry).
