2X2 Dowel Jig

I made this jig to create dowel joints with 3/8" dowel on 2x2s for a ladder and railing for built in bunk beds I built for the kids. One side of the jig fits on the end of a 2x2, and the other side fits along the side of your other piece so the holes line up. Inner diameter is based on measurements of my 2x2s with calipers, which was around 1.4" instead of 1.5."

The jig has a limited number of uses with PLA since the drill bit will expand the hole over time, at least if you don't have a drill press.
