3 LED base - compact

I wanted more light but 3 LEDs pull too much current for a CR2032 cell. I therefore designed this base to run from a 2 AA battery pack.on a short lead;
How to wire this up (a little fiddly)

Bend the 2 outer LED leads furthest from the power input in to the channel, trim the leads so they only just reach the centre LED, an solder them to centre LED
Solder an insualted power lead under those leads, pushing it in to the left channel cut-out so it will dip under the other channel
Repeat the first 2 steps for the other leads using the channel nearest the power input
Trim the connections
I fit a rubber or felt cover on the base to prevent short circuits and damage to the surfaces it's placed on.

I use 5 mm slow colour-changing RGB LEDs but almost any type and size can be used. These LEDs are very bright but have a narrow beam angle so made a sinple diffuser to drop over the 5mm LEDs (link)
