This is a model of the Gulhareff jet tipped one man back pack helicopter MEG-2X, designed in the 1950's. It is a unique design with no tail rotor, no landing skids (the pilot's feet acted as the landing gear) and powered by one Gulhareff G8-2-20 pressure jet engine mounted on the tips of each of the main rotor blades. Since there was no torque rotation as is common on conventional helicopters, the tail rotor was deemed unnecessary and a small tail fin was used instead.
