A palm tamper for the La Pavoni manual piston espresso machine & other 48mm portafilter espresso machines.
I like to use a very hard tamp when preparing my espressos such that I lean a good part of my body weight into the puck. This makes most espresso tampers ergonomically not suitable, not to mention the instability that's created with a tamper's upright handle. That is why I created this palm tamper, designed to be used with the open palm of the hand on the tamper with one's body weight
