A base for the Pendant Lamp Shade - Square Pattern

initial design was to put a 4 cell battery holder and boost converter inside the base

but i ended up only making the cavity fits the boost converter so that i afford the space to make the lamp a pen holder.

USB 5V to boost converter to 12V 5050 LED strip

i used about 60cm of strip, which is about 36LEDs, and the voltage was set to 10.5V, and it is drawing 5V 750mA from the USB adapter.
