was thinking of revamping the alerons to a pipe drive with cables connecting them.
electric hybrid engine from something like ford escape hybrid(150hp) might be great option when geared properly for heavier planes.usually good till 600k km these days (1 million miles) atleast some go till 800k km or 8000 hours for a plane the sweet spot could get you close to double the hours where the batterys+ext
