I recently bought a racing quad, and being an excellent pilot, almost immediately knocked off one of the foam pads on the bottom. I was happy to discover some mounting holes there, and decided to design a leg to land on that was cheap, strong, and lightweight, and wouldn't restrict airflow a lot.
This leg was designed in FreeCAD and printed on a Maker Select Plus printer, with 3D Solutech Carbon Fiber PLA. It simply pops into the holes underneath where the foam is mounted and friction-fits.
