3AA to D cell both alkaline and rechargeable batteries v8

So you need a D cell or two. This will use 3 AA's in parallel so the power output should be close to a D cell. I use 1 button brass fastener on top with tin foil folded to connect all 3 AA's. And 3 button brass fasteners on the bottom without tin foil because the 3 fasteners are bent to connect all 3 AA's. There are 3 fasteners on the bottom to make sure the bottom will connect with all types of springs. Notice the extra bend in the fasteners on the bottom that would go out the side of this
