Paper Gripping Sliding Pointer

I made a little thing that can be put onto a piece of paper and slid around in order to keep track of things or point at different items.

I needed a way to keep track of whose turn it was on my softball team. After each person goes up to bat, I can slide the little pointer down to know who is up next.

I have tried on normal printing paper as well as laminated printer paper.
