I found some super-small buck converters on Amazon. I used one to step the printer's 24VDC power down to 12VDC for use with a 40x40x10mm Noctua fan.
I wanted a fan grille to protect the Noctua's blades from stray fingers or tools, and I wanted a compact way to mount the buck converter. Since it was so small, I decided to mount it directly onto the fan grille itself.
This is the result.
The clips to attach the grille to the fan were borrowed from "Clip on fan cover for 40mm noctua fans"
