There is a 90 degree slot, and a 45 degree slot for sliding a razor through and cutting the PTFE tubes. The slot on the top is for viewing where you're cutting.

The width of the slot is designed to work best with the K.U.T blade holder found here on Thingiverse, made by LarkysPrints. The slot is wide enough so that the tip of the blade does not protrude out the other side. Also works great with an X-acto #11 blade.
