Ring Doorbell Pro, 1/4 inch spacer backplate

My Ring Pro (hardwired) doorbell started working intermittently and then stopped altogether. It was installed as a retrofit to replace an existing doorbell using existing wiring from 1987 in a brick veneer home. The cause of the latest problem was a broken wire. I could not pull the wire out any further so I had to splice in a short piece of wire using a snap lock telephone wire connector.
