My suggestion is squeeze a small glob of hot glue onto the surface of the charging connector, stick it in your phone (so the alignment is correct), then set your phone down while it cools. Slide your phone up out of the connector to make sure you didn't get any on your phone. Add glue along the edges to secure the connector better.
