After getting feedback from Void Marines and other armsmen about boarding actions, and multiple reports that the pulse carbine wasn't strong enough to stop enemy heavy battle armor, engineers went back to the drawing board. The quickest solution was to build a new rifle based off an alien rail rifle. The barrel was cut in half so it could be used in tight corridors on ships and space hulks. A reflex scope, enhanced compensator, extended b
