File Handle

Assembly of Handle to a File
Wear gloves to prevent burns.

I held file in a vise and heated the end with a torch. Must be hot enough to melt plastic handle somewhat when pushed on. Not too hot as to damage file’s temper or melt plastic into a fluid or burn. Might want to experiment a little before actual assembly is attempted.

If too cool handle will only go in so far and stop, but if too hot handle may be ruined.

Did I say be careful things are hot! - wear gloves and protect yourself.
