Ineterlocking chess board with hidden tile links

I looked at a few of the board designs on Thingverse and I didn't want to expose the connection keys between each tile and I didn't want to leave an air-gap between tiles. This design has interlocking tiles with a horizontal overlap incorporated into one of the tile colors. Pictured with the board is a play-piece set from Mark Durbin's [Dr. Who Chess Set](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:19841).

NOTE: Printing Color 2 tiles upside down yielded a better result because of overhangs. I also fou
