I modified the battery strap slot so it can be turned up side down and used to hold batteries that fit in the compartment like they are supposed to so you don't need to carry your flat strap if you don't want to.

Also, if your battery is the right length, but the leads protrude out the front of the battery, (as opposed to being too thick) [this one might work for you](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3685914).
