While upgrading the tank fittings (aka bulk head fittings) on my rain barrels, I found the larger one required a giant wrench. While I could use an extra large pipe wrench, those tend to mar and/or deform the plastic (polyethylene) fittings. The small wrench is for the female part of the fitting, and the large wrench is for the nut. The small wrench is 2.97 inches (75.4mm) across the flats, and the large is 3.97 inches (100.8mm). Both wrenches are 0.5 inches (12.7mm) thick.
