This is an adapter for the airbox to a Mikuni TM36 carburetor, which intake diameter is smaller.
The stock "96 carburetor on the Honda 400XR is poor, and the upgrade really improves the bike :) This part came pre-tunes for a Yamaha 500 XT, but it works perfectly without any change to the settings.
