This is the Starship, the upper stage of SpaceX's "Big Falcon Rocket" launch system. This interplanetary vehicle will ferry space explorers throughout the solar system making humans an interplanetary species. SpaceX plans to launch missions, first, to the Moon, then on to Mars ultimately planning to establish a self-sustaining colony on the red planet.
