Michael's (and other sources under different names) has the Recollections Photo Keeper (and in Keeper cases with multiple boxes).
Adding these grids will allow you to safely store miniatures, dice, pens/pencils/markers.
Frames are designed to stand proud of the case, closing the lid keeps the frame from bouncing inside, and the contents from spilling over between cells.
