I wanted to test whether it is possible to 3D print something that feels similar to paper and can actually be written on.The result is surprisingly usable. The surface allows writing with a pen or pencil, but the print quality and usability strongly depend on proper filament calibration. Layer consistency and surface smoothness are key for achieving a “paper-like” feel. For this test, I used Bambu Lab PLA Matte – Bone White, which worked very well thanks to its fine surface texture and low gloss. With correct calibration, the surface is smooth enough for writing while still being durable. This model can be useful for experiments, desk notes, labels, or just as a fun demonstration of what is possible with 3D printing.
