3D printed water rocket and coated with thin epoxy resin for air tightness. Consist of five main parts:
1) Payload section;
2) Top section;
3) Middle section;
4) Bottom section;
5) Nozzle.
Parts aligned with joiners and welded with 3D pen or extruder nozzle. Also ironing of welded seams needed.
Overview: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Ke5cXz5xio
Water rocket characteristics:
- height 860 mm;
- diameter 50 mm;
- test pressure 9 bar;
- launch pressure 8 bar;
- flight altitude aprox 100 m;
- arduino mini and MPU6050 based electronics. Servo motor for parachute deployment;
- can be used without parachute deployment mechanism, just be sure to land rocket onto soft ground;
- has launcher and guid rails.
Printing parameters for pressure vessel:
- wall perimeters: 2 (0.8mm);
- print temperature: 230;
- filament: PLA+;
- infill: 0%;
- top, bottom thickness: 0;
- perimeters height: 0.2mm;
- print seams should be aligned on one side, not randomly.
