An all-metal, gantry-style cartesian 3D Printer. Machine consists of an aluminum extrusion frame (20mm Misumi extrusions) with 12mm hardened, chrome-plated shafts with linear bearings pressed in aluminum pillow blocks as linear guides. Electronics are housed in 3D printed enclosures that the machine produced itself. The CAD file may not represent my machine perfectly accurately; it should be used as a design reference rather than a 100% accurate mode. Bolts are not represented in the CAD model, but he machine uses standard metric hardware (M3-M5 sizes) and a handful of imperial bolts (1/4-20; mounts the self aligning bearings to the frame). I didn't include a Bill of Materials but feel free to message me or leave a comment if you have any questions about the design! Included are Renderings, Pictures, 2017 Inventor files along with a project file, a STEP file of the entire assembly, and the printer's firmware. Some models used in the CAD file were created by other authors; credit for those files go to their respective owners. The firmware is a modified distribution of Repetier v0.92, and credit for it goes to its creators.
