I designed this laser cuttable material spool to hold samples of 3D printing material that I've received at shows/online.
The diameter is 150mm, which is of course smaller than a standard spool, with an inside hole diameter of 50mm - each spool has 6 components, two circular sides and 4 rectangular connecting pieces. It can be assembled with superglue, or wood glue, whichever should work nicely.
It features holes on the outer and inner edges for affixing each end of the material, as well as a slit so that you can see how much material you have left much like a normal spool.
It's designed to be cut from 3mm plywood as seen in the pictures.
