Update 8/12/18: Added reinforced rear hubs.
Update 5/5/18: Added steering linkage. I broke this part so just decided to reinforce a bit.
Update 4/28/18: Added an upgraded spur gear. This one is slightly stronger and allows you to use a set screw to fit it to a shaft if you choose.
Update: 4/22/18: Added a few more upgraded parts (rear shock tower, axle, ring gear). Car is running great now!
Update 4/16/18: Parts are now tested and work well. The car drives pretty well. MUCH easier to control the the openrc F1.
These are upgrades I designed while building the 3DRC Buggy. I admit- I haven't run this car yet- waiting on a new battery and ESC. I'm confident all of these changes are upgrades to the car though. Everything is 'compatible' with the original design so you can pick and choose what to print or not.
Parts include:
1. Tires- added a slight bulge to the sidewalls to allow the tires to flex more easily.
2. Wheels- changed from a solid disc to 4 spoke- because
