The cost of custom framing can be quite high, so I have opted for a plastic solution instead. These models are designed for a modular art frame that consists of standard 1-inch segments ranging from 4 in to 9 in. The segments interconnect with one another as well as with the corresponding corner pieces using 8mm connectors. If you need additional strength, the pin holes accommodate 5/16 dowel (refer to the attached photo for the dowels I used). For my large frame I used 2 in long dowels with no trouble. The connector holes run the length of the pieces, so if you are worried about sagging, you can use a dowel sized to the full length of the side. Additionally, filler pieces can be scaled from the single-piece model if you need an odd-sized frame. I used CA glue, and when I ran out, I switched to wood glue. The frame measures approximately 4 inches wide and features a 38 mm (<1.5 inch) flat valley, allowing for the attachment of decorative strips to enhance its aesthetic appeal. I printe
