This is a simple add-on to X carriage, that is supposed to cover bottom of the coldend cover.
Reason to use it is pretty obvious, as the air used to cool cold end is also cooling the print so unless you are using this machine only for PLA it will cause warping or delamination with ABS and other materials.
The drawbacks are again quite predictable, as you will make the cooling less efficient, so after its instalation materials will string terribly and all the problems caused by bowden extr
